This city was founded in 1561 and it's famous for its history, natural beauty, delicious wines, and world class ski resorts like Las Leñas and Potrerillos; which are the largest in South America and part of the Andean mountain range like Mount Aconcagua; which is the higest peak in the American continent.
This picturesque city features wide avenues traversed by small riverbeds and five main legendary squares which intermingle with bustling commercial activity and various bars and coffee shops, shadowed by a variety of trees. Mendoza is also famous for its high-quality wine. This wine-making culture can be observed in the cellars open to tourists. The famous "Festival de la Vendimia" is held every year during the first week of March.
Mendoza boast beautiful landscapes, it's a fabulous place to visit where adventure and extreme sports are practiced in natural paths and strong rivers. It's a great place to learn Spanish in a more rural and natural scenery.
